Default question about tip chip

If I were to use a VAG tool to reprogram the tip computer with code 00032 for the more aggresive shifting am I effectivly doing the same as the tip chip, or does it do more then recoding on my own? If it does, should I not recode the tip chip and leave as stock?

Thanks!

Do the 00032 recode and see how you like it first.

Try your local forum for that, you'll have more chances.

Default I just did this to my Avant and holy crap its like a different car! The bummer is...

That it no longer shifts at red line. In fact I think the red line has been moved because now it'll go all the way up to 6800rpm (loses power at about 6500 so no reason to go that far).

Does the 00032 recode differ much from the Sport setting on an '03?

It raises them in auto mode. In tip mode it doesn't shift on its own at all anymore.
