Friday Poll: what is your most memorable moment with any of your rides...(both bad and good)

The good: coming from a vw to an audi was a plus. getting the a6 was the best i have to say.

the bad: getting my GTi tahoed by a tahoe (ran a stop sign)

Good: Hitting 186mph on Autobahn. Bad: 360' spin at 50mph (semi-good 'cause I recovered and held it)

Good: Hit 186mph in my 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo that I'd had boosted to over 450BHP. Got the
magical 300km/h (186mph) on the A9 Autobahn between NÃ¼rnberg and Munich at 6am on a sunday.
Four lanes in each direction of unrestriction with some straights that last 3 miles :-)

Bad: Was driving at 50mph in my Toyota Supra 3.0 Turbo (boosted to around 300bhp). I went over
the crest of a hill, the car went light (maybe I got air, but not much), then when it hit the ground,
one of the rear wheels got better traction than the other, and I had no LSD, so the car spun round
360 degrees. I managed to hold it and keep it on the road. Just in time too, as a car was coming
in the other direction.

Two weeks, two up, GoldWing 1500 SE w/Bushtec trailer, 4k miles, CT-NY-NJ-PA-<more>

MD-VA-WVA-TN-KY-IN-IL-MO-IA-MN-WI-MI-Canada-NY-MA-CT

Best Part: Riding from Iowa to Lake Superior WI on a PERFECT September day. Lunch in Red Wing MN.

Worst Part #1: 105 degrees riding from Indianapolis to St Louis on Labor Day Weekend. Hot and steamy just does not do it justice.

Worst Part #2: Pouring down rain and 48 degrees in Canada..and we're riding on dirt because there is construction going on and they have ripped up the ashpalt. Probably 20 miles (altho it seemed like 100) of badly rutted dirt with HUGE dump trucks and contruction vehicles everywhere. The most scared I have EVER been on a bike. A miracle we did not dump. And while it was the worst part of the ride it is what we invariably talk about when the ride comes up.
