# of Airbags help!

Hey guys as you know im looking for an A6 and i have found a 98 and 99 of interest. I have contacted the seller selling the 98 and he says that the car has frontal, torso, and curtain air bags...i thought that the 98s didnt have curtain. the 99 says that there are torso and frontal airbags, no curtains...how do i check if there are curtains or side torso airbags? is the 98 guy lying?

side torso if i remember right will have a tag on the front seats, on the side

headliner above door should say airbag or something to that nature.

rear side airbags are almost impossible to find.

I dont believe side curtains were an option on the 98...my car (1998) has...

6 air bags 2 front, 2 side front, and 2 side rear -

According to my '99 brochure, rear torso bags were an option. Front comes standard with torso

bags plus the two from the dash. Curtains? Not a chance in hell on either year.

Here is a link to some pictures...picture 6 is the one in question. This is the 99 by the way.
