Gas question. No I'm not complaining about prices
On a 01 4.2 when the gas light comes on, how much gas is left? Last night driving home the light came on and it said 50 miles to empty for what thats worth. I was still on the first red line on the gauge, so I wasn't worried. Got in the car this morning and it said 0 miles until empty and I was on the last redline on the gauge. I drive three blocks down the road and fill up. I only put in 19.6 gallons. This has happened to me like 5 times now. So what does our 22 gallon tank have in it when the light comes on? If I was on the last redline on the gauge, shouldn't I have put in more than 19.6? Did some searching but found no real answers. Thanks all

Is your driveway level/flat? The sensor and outlet in gas tanks is usually at the rear.
So if your driveway is a little "downhill", then it can under-read. When low on fuel, and parking on an incline, it's best to park so that car is facing uphill. You've got more chance of it starting.

Yeah my garage is flat. I just thought it was kind of funky...
I really I had a little more accuracy with this thing. Not so much for me, but for when my fiance is driving it. She freaks out about that crap.
