Creaking Light Level Sensor

After having the complete front suspension kit done, upper and lower control arms, tie rod ends, outer cv boots, I'm still getting a faint creaking sound. My Indy mechanic advises it is the left light level sensor.

Has anyone had this? Know of a good source for buying one? Can a spray of contact cleaner take care of it?

Any thoughts appreciated.

it costs like 2$ and has a little pivot bearing, some grease or WD40 should kill that

yes, had the exact same problem. I couldn't believe how loud and "big" it sounded.

really deceiving. Anyway, I used some dry teflon lube and that's done the trick for about 6 months.

Where did you get it?

Did you go to the dealer for it? I did some on-line searches and couldn't find it. Any chance you know the PN?

dealer has it for a few bucks. just ask them for the xenon leveler that attaches to the control arm

If we're talking the same thing, dealer said it is $100

Little black box with a swing arm, Audi PN 4B0907503.

Hard to believe that thing is making so much noise.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Jimmy - are you thinking the switch or the connector arm?

I tried shooting some Triflow into the links, to little or no avail. I'm wondering if it is the switch or the connector link arm that goes from the clip that wraps around the control arm to the switch. I may end up replacing both. The PN for the switch is 4B0907503. One place on-line has it for $68.

Hard to believe those little parts can make so much noise.
