need P/N help - latch for rear folding seat
The latch that locks down the single rear folding seat (behind driver) has failed on me. it will no longer click into place when you close the seat. I fold this seat down a lot when I load my snowboard into the car so I suppose it gets more use than normal.
I have sport seats from a certain someone's 2002 4.2 (if that makes any difference). does anyone have experience with replacing these? I figured since you're dealing with the upholstery it might be tricky.

hmm...
i didn't think to try that. if i remember correctly it has an allen wrench head on it? I'm sure it could be loosened but how exactly do I adjust it? the latch just wont "click" into place anymore. after I shut the seat, I can fold it down again without having to pull the handle. and it rattles like crazy while I'm driving...

...also, have you checked to make sure the two screws for the latch are intact???

I recall having some issues lining up one fo the latches when we installed your seats in the comfort of Billy's shop. We had to swap out the rear latches so the key would still lock the seats if needed.
Maybe we can take a look at it sometime soon? You around at all, of stuck up in NH???

LOOSEN DON"T REMOVE the nut, but BD is correct about the adjustment
it's a PIA I messed mine up when I removed the panel not thinking about this adjustment deal. The seat had the same symptons you are talking about. you will have to use trial and error. adjust try, repeat. Once I got it to latch I stopped palying but now that it is cold I have a squeak.
