Got a Flat Today.. Had changed 4 tires only 6000 miles ago
Do you guys think the Quattro will work fine if I replace only 1 Tire?? Till what mileage/age can I go on the difference?? I did search but did not get any clear answers...

Yes it needs to be replaced a got a nail into it and I was driving for sometime ....
before I noticed it.. One look from the American Tire Guy and he said "unrepairable".. It did look bad..

You should be fine.
In the Audi manual, "rolling radius of all 4 tires must remain the same" or within 4/32-inch of each other in remaining tread depth.
I don't think driving 6k miles would wear them down that much.

Replace it from Discount Tire Direct if they carry it...unlimited road hazard
warranty..they DON'T pro-rate it. It's a replacement, period. U only have to pay the replacement policy (~25 on a 255/40ZR-17) on the new tire.
I've had roughly 9 tires replaced from DTD. Also, when you buy the replacement tire from them they'll give you the opportunity to insure/road hazard your other three tires!!
This was particularly good for the Dunlop SP9K tires my 2000 4.2 A6 uses....%@#% tires are prone to blistered sidewalls. DTD only once asked me to ship my damaged tires back to them...now they accept a digital pic of the damage.
They may not carry the particular brand or size you want, but it's worth checking. They will match Tire Rack prices and the warranty clearly blows Tire Rack's away.
