I am definitely not complaining but...
last month my turbos were getting somewhat verbal...granted it was cold 50's to 60's but as of last week they have stopped making noise. And lately its been in the 40's and lower in the mornings. Weird... I wonder if there was some kind of oil blockage to them that cleared out once the car ran hot enough? I don't see any leaks what so ever in the garage. Oh well, I am not going to worry anymore...if/when they do go out I will deal with it then...its not like I can do anything now to make much of a difference. Thanks for listening. And as always if there are suggestions due to experience I am all ears.

It is unfortunate that this forum has aided the spread of "turbo fear"...
...to the point where turbo owners scrutinize every whistle and whoosh that their cars make.

unfortunately i scrutinize EVERYsound I hear as it usually morphs....
into the sound of the cash register for a repair with my car....but I've found keeping my radio nice and loud has helped me get past this.....

No I hear you 4Driver4....and you are right.
I have 130K on my car and to be honest I do the same thing that jfk92 does...I listen for every little noise and get paranoid about it. My father keeps telling me "Listen, you have an audi, the parts on that car are not cheap so the chances of them going back like that are slim...its not a ford festiva" Not to say fords aren't good but you get where I am going with that statement. I think for the most part he is right. My mech (mtmspeed in the SE region forum) always tells me to relax and enjoy the car. I am trying to do that more these days. As much as I love that car...its a car.
