Big milestone today on the A6. It's now on its fourth timing belt, and oil has been changed about 50 times. Most of the car has not been touched. The engine and trans have never been apart outside the random seal or maintenance work. The only real issue with the car was the "arctic wind" saga at 190k. We thought about dumping the car then, but elected to fix the evaporator and keep on truckin'. I guess that was the right thing to do.

Collectively, our three Audi's have a total of over 620k miles.

Not me; it's the wife.

50 mile commute each way, garaged, stock wheels and tire size, stock suspension, no chip, never even been in tip mode, maintenance up to date, and all problems addressed quickly.

Well done. Further proof that good maintenance, and good general awareness of the vehicle can lead

to a long, relatively trouble-free life.

I do believe you have one of the highest mileage C5 A6's in existence.
