White smoke pouring out of my fathers01 a6
He had some exhaust work done recently when one of his axles became lose and smacked a huge hole in his exhaust. The guy who did the work said he could weld it. (i am thinking the axle should never come lose, some jackass mechanic prob did a **** job on a replacement of the axle previously)
Anyways if everything runs fine and the car runs fine but this smoke won't stop, could it be because the leak opened back up in the exhaust? Or would it be something worse? I figured it can't be a coil pack on fire or anything with the motor as everything runs well, no misfires or anything.
Any advice before we take it the shop on Monday?
Thanks guys
He hasn't been driving it but when he made it to his destination that was when this started happening. So he parked it and went inside and now he went out to check it and there is oil dripping and all over the underside of the car.

No other work other than that has been done lately. The TB was done about 15-20k miles ago by a very reputable mechanic called brians garage in needham MA.
