Has anybody had any luck with Bentley on Vista?
I know they haven't signed off on Vista yet, but I took a shot. Downloaded eBahn 3.1.0, their recommendation for Vista. Was able to successfully register the installation on the PC.
When I kick it eBahn, it loads, but stops responding before it brings up the actual repair manual info. I've gone through the Bentley support stuff on line, tried running the application under XP SP2 and with Administrator rights....no luck. I'm running Vista SP1. which is more problematic with eBahn than plain old Vista according to Bentley.
I've got it running on my XP laptop and XP desk top, so it's not the end of the world; it would just be a lot more convenient on the Vista machine.
Got to love Bentley....they're already talking about Windows 7 and we're still wating for it to work on a two year old OS....

you mean Vista UAC? (User account control), vista is trying to move closer to Unix type protection
Just go to Start > Control Panel > Security > Security Center > Other Security Settings.

I suppose it's like any other software. Eventually it gets outdated and requires
the user to lay out more cash to stay current, i.e, can't get windows 95 anymore, so have to use XP or Vista. Right?
