electronics HELP

i just bought a 2000 audi a6, automatic, 2.7t. i bought it at auction and in the morning all the electronics worked great [indoor lights, door locks, windows, sunroof, etc]. i had to leave it for about five hours after that and when i came back, it wouldn't start. i gave it a jump and eventually it started up and again, everything worked great. that same night, however, at one point, the [cabin] lights just stopped working, same for the windows, door locks, and sunroof. headlights, radio, and everything else still works fine. i tried resetting the computer [by unhooking the battery for a few minutes] and that cleared the door locks for a few minutes, but the problem resumed shortly. anyone with an idea as to what the problem is would help. i also don't have the manual, any records or books [problem with buyin at auction].

VAG-COM is your friend.

Jumping a car loaded with delicate electronics is not your friend.

I'd start by checking the alarm control unit for codes and checking the functionality of the micro switches in the latch.

but that's the thing, after the jump, it all still worked great. it was only a few hours later that i began to have problems. and what is vag-com, by the way, i'm not exactly a mechanic. i did check it for error codes and all it gave me was p0441 which is an emissions control system incorrect flow phantom error from the twin turbo. it disappeared once i unplugged the battery to reset the computer. again, that gave me back my door locks, but not windows, roof or cabin lights, but only for about 10 minutes.
