Problems diagnosing...
1. When coming to a stop with light brake pressure applied, I hear a grinding noise and can feel it a bit in the brake pedal. Only work I have had done is the timing belt a few months back and seemed to start shortly after having that work done....brakes and rotors check out ok, fluid level is good...No issues or sounds at regular speeds...
2. When I put car in reverse and with ait running belt, I get a sporadic belt squeal and if I back up while turning wheel, it makes horrendous noise (on top of squeal) that sounds like metal grinding (high pitched). Both are sporadic but happen together and stop when i turn the air off.....
Have had it to be checked several times and each time comes back clean, belt/brakes in great shape, no other visible signs and the technicians are unable to recreate.
another guess is your secondary air injection system coming on randomly and coincidentally on when you are in reverse... referring to --> metal grinding / air raid siren

procedure to re-bed brakes as per tirerack (its fun too...lol)
