Default Hmmm... just VAG-ed my car to check for any problems and I found an interesting code >>>

Control Module Part Number: 4B0 820 043 K
Component and/or Version: A6-Klimavollautomat D64
Software Coding: 00180
Work Shop Code: WSC 02325
1 Fault Found:
00792 - A/C Pressure Switch (F129)
31-00 - Open or Short to Ground

I also noticed that the code won't clear, so I am pretty convinced that whatever it is is permanent. I read the Wiki about the code and found a quote from Bentley on this, and it looks like it could be serous. Any ideas where to start looking?

Default OK. I just remembered that I had the timing belt replaced few weeks ago and after STFA >>>

I saw that it is not uncommon for people to leave it disconnected during front end work. However, this was a post for a B4 model... Maybe I will get lucky and it is something as simple as that - where is this switch located and how can I access it to make sure it is plugged in?

Thanks

It's on one of the steel A/C lines. The high pressure line, probably, which is the thinner of the 2

Default I will, but I was just trying to get a little bit info here first... I have an appointment >>

with them for brakes, and I will have them look at that too. If it is a disconnected or bad sensor I am sure they will fix it, but I pray that I don't have a bigger problem.

Which is behind the bumper or you can see it from the bottom if you remove the belly pan?

Default Check the connectors in this picture.

To the left of your power steering reservoir (standing in front of the car) is a plastic cover. Remove the plastic cover and look at the three large connectors in front of you. Are they all connected? I bet not. Let me know.
