The '04 L is in for its
-Squirly steering
-Suspension never changes
-Key fob not working
-Trunk opens/closes intermittently
-MMI screen comes up blank, re-open it, and is in a different language.
-Lights work intermittently also
-Automatic lights NEVER have worked (works flawlessly on my Cayenne Turbo)
-Navigation slows up sometimes
-Trip displays the gas tank door is always open
These are some things that I can remember off the top of my head. This car only has about 500 miles on it and has had these "ghost" problems. Hopefully this will not warrent a buy back but I have a feeling that it might become a lemon. I should hear back from the dealership as to what the problems are (I'm confident of the technicians at North Scottsdale Audi) and if they can be fixed or will need to be bought back.

In the recent Consumers both Mercedes and BMW were well below average in reliabilty. Folks, we used to call these the best cars in the world! If you look at the annual auto issue the little black ball is always for 'electrical'.
The three Germans _are_ the best if real driving is part of your criteria. But the rush to include every kind of electronic goodie has produced an arms race, with all three makers rushing to market with cars whose goodies are not yet sorted out.
I know that many here are tolerant of a bug or two, but I think if you're putting down 70K or more, the car should be damn near perfect, and stay that way for a long time. If it costs too much to get the goodies up this level, then we should be able to buy a car with reliable 'manual' systems. Well, there's my 2 cents.
