Weekend in NH --
The reason I write about this here, is the "auto road" up Mt Washington, the tallest peak in the north eastern US .. 6000+ feet, and a 12% average grade .. I was never more proud of the A8.
Temperature gauge never budged on the way up, and the brakes never needed to pull over onto a turn-out to cool off on the way down. Going up, it felt like I had to hold the car back .. 1st gear the whole way, and just at the base of the real power range at 3Krpm ..
Audi actually sponsors the annual "Audi Mt Washington Race to the Top" thingie .. 8 miles in seven minutes, no guard rails, sheer drops of a thousand feet .. no shoulder .. woo wee!!
I picked up an Audi mountain race event hat left over in the gift shop

The only negative thing I have to say about the whole experience is "Screw you, SUV morons."
Try passing a Ford Expedition coming the other way down a 15 foot wide road with no shoulder, no guard rail, and thousands of feet of air to welcome you over the edge.
