I Picked up my 2004 A8L tonight!!!
Finally, after waiting almost as long as Greenie, I picked up my car tonight from my dealer in Rockford, Illinois. It is Night Blue/Amaretto with the 18" all season tires. IT IS AWESOME!! I made it home without driving off the road because my nephew was with me and worked the MMI while I drove. Tomorrow I'll learn a lot more and will post some pictures soon, and will probably have some questions. Good night. Oh- serial number 8170

Thanks Greenie. I'm going to send pictures soon. I have a few questions.... 1. Whenever I hit the left steering wheel button for radio pre select stations only one or two FM and AM stations are there even though I have stored about 20. Csn you get the "stored" stations to show up when you hit the left button on the steering wheel? Also the lighting selection for the City, Back, Highway, etc in the MMI is still baffling-- any words of wisdom? Thanks. No problems so far!! Jeff

Thanks Potsie. It's a super car, and noproblems yet. I've been able to use the OnStar voice activated phone and for my needs it may be OK since I don't spend that much time in the car. I also had a few questions as per the post under Greenie. Thanks. Jeff

Re: the radio presets, you cannot get them in the center drivers display, only on the MMI. Only stations that show up in the center drivers display are the dynamic list of stations that the car is pulling based on your present location, with the 5 most recently used frequencies at the top of the list.
