Complexity D3

I am extremely interested in chipping my new A8 when it gets delivered this weekend.

The reservations I have, however, mean that I am none to keen to proceed with such a project.

So my questions are; How does a chip work, what does it affect in a car, and could an engine modification mess up the rest of the car's onboard computers?

How far off the green is it?????? LOL Can you imagine the size of that club?? A chip changes the way the computer does just about everything. I chipped my 00 `vette so the fuel mixture and timing are different for example. If you get a chip specifically made for your vehicle then there SHOULD be no problem. Of coures, I am only speaking from my experience. Good luck and let us know the outcome.
