This is starting to sound like the crap that I went through with my 745Li!
Sorry to blast you guys, but in deciding whether to move from the 745 to an A8L, your posts are scaring me! Are the Japanase really going to get my hard earned money?

If you can wait until the spring, check out the new Acura RL if you are shying away from Audi.

What can you tell us about the new RL? I have heard rumors of AWD, V8 and/or hybrid. Do you have any links to photos?
I like the direction Acura is going in. If the new RL will be a bigger and better version of the new TL and has AWD and good power it will be something to consider.

The RL, IMHO, will always be "better" than the TL. They are two separate and distinct cars. The new RL will keep a V6 but including some weird electrical motor setup at the rear wheels(rumored) the total HP will approach 400. I do not understand the technology and I know when the motors are not considered it will put out closer to 300. Ive had 5 Acuras in 12 years and discounting a 96 TL 3.2 that I collaterally exchanged for a new one(brakes failed) they were all faultless to a T! What happened? I got bored of the Japanese(cars that is) and couldnt wait until next Spring(rumored) for the introduction of the new RL. The RL has always been set up to make the switch to AWD. No one is sure of this as of yet. The factory is so tight lipped about releasing information that it drove me bananas and then right into an Audi, with a stop along the way at a Benz dealer!

Hey, its raining outside and my brain is wet!! Particularly troublesome as compared to what? Japanese cars? They probably are but I am not comparing them. They are different cars generally driven differently(hows that for using DIFFERENT words!). This forum has proven invaluable to me, not necessarily because of what we drive(even though that is how I got here)but because of who we are!

Yeah I agree, it's like going to an AA meeting and thinking everyone in the world is a drunk...
This forum is nowhere near as popular as some of the other ones. You will mostly find people looking for help or venting frustrations about things. If you are perfectly happy with your car then you won't have as much motivation to post. Don't ask me why, but people like to post about problems much more than about praises.
