Any '04 owners get a call from their Audi Advocate?
Well, just before i left work last week, i got a call from my Audi Advocate. I've been wondering who this person was from some of the topics discussed here. i asked her why i wasn't given an advocate when i owned my s4. apparently, this is a new program by audi specifically for '04 A8L owners.
when i got home, i found a letter from her along with her business card - which, btw, has a picture of the A8L in the back. well, glad to have gotten the card cause i wasn't looking forward to carrying around a post-it.
lastly, AoA also sent the Audi Collection brochure. lots of new stuff in there for us D3 owners.
Right now, I am thoroughly enjoying the ownership experience. Please use your advocate - you bought the flagship, you deserve the benefits as well.

Interesting.
When I heard you guys talking about an "Audi Advocate," I thought it was some clever name for your salesman... you know, just like how used cars are now "Certified Pre-Owned." Glad to have that cleared up.

I thought our Audi Advocates were regional reps...
and they are offering sirius/xm as an option in the Collection catalog for our '04s. slated release is december '03. i know what i want for xmas!

there's a little footnote next to the >'04 A8L Sirius/XM description...
and it states at the bottom that MMI is required.
DOH!
sheesh, i wonder what it is that keeps popping up on my center dash everytime i start the car? LOL
on a more sirius note (pardon the pun), I do certainly do hope that it will be available for us early adopters. and that description has me wondering if it shouldn't have been a greater than or equal to '04 A8L...

We took posssession of our A8L in July and I received the first call from the advocate about 10 days later. She introduced herself and described her function. I wrote the 800 number down and figured that that would be the end of our contact. Two days after our accident in New Mexico, I received a call on my cell phone from the Audi advocate enquiring about our safety and asking if there was anything she could do for us. About a month later my wife called me at work to tell me that we had received a package from Harry and David with a selection of items. A card enclosed wish us well and said "Glad you and yours are safe after the accident." The level of personal service has been incredible.

Here's where other sources will show up.
My guess is that a S/W update will put the Sirius and XM sources in this MMI menu. Where the hardware will go is anyone's guess.

Hardware will go in the panel on the left wall of your trunk, right next to your nav DVD drive. The fiber optic cables for connecting the sat radio are already there waiting to be connected.
