A8 Stalling out when breaking ?
Hey my fellow Audi A8 Owners ! Just wondering if anyone has been stalling out at all when comming off an exit on a highway when decellerating ....
Or just slowing suddenly ...? I have never had this type of problem before in any of my audi's for the past 16 years ?
Well any help is appreciated....

Thanks Scott, 1997 A8 4.2 Litre, Tuneup this past August, Plugs and All Filters(gas air, etc...) changed. Problem gets worse in colder weather...I am thinking it is a sensor....but which one ?

Have not done any Trans service yet...Car has 112k...Is this needed at this point.. ? Timining Belt all other belts and waterpump, replaced at 90k.

Could be sticky torque converter. Does it shift normally through the other gears, or is it harsh?
The best thing at this point is to get the codes using Vag.com and see what the computer is telling you. Given the codes we could do a much better job of troubleshooting your problem. Wherer do you live- maybe one of the forum members near you has a vag.com if you don't. The relationships between the ECU, TCU, and transmission are fairly complex, and you need a vag to properly diagnose. Let us know what you find. I would also plan on performing a tranny fluid/filter change out as soon as this issue is resolved.
