Solar flare hits greenie!
Got in to the machine at 11:12 a.m. Eastern time turned the key and it started(good sign). 5 seconds later the screen went blank and then a picture of the world and the words "AudiUSA Interface" were displayed. The radio stopped so I shut the car down to recycle and, sure enough, everything was fine on restart. The message SHOULD have been "AudiUSA NO interface". LOL Seriously, I know that this solar phenom has interrupted satellite comm. so thats what Im going with. The car has been too good for this just to be another in a series of "events". BTW, I should hopefully be "hooked up" to Ross_Tech next week sometime which should shed some light on these 04`s. Uwe. are you out there?

You will leave with the ability to access *most* of the stuff in your car. Just how much, I won't know until tomorrow when I'm doing some testing on a car at a dealership.

The cable you have should talk to your engine and tranny with the Beta 310.0 software we have on the website. The engine and tranny still have an ISO-9141 K-line to the diagnostic connector.
But to access all the other stuff in the car (and there's a LOT) you'll need a new cable. All the other stuff requires a direct CAN bus connection. We should have production dual-K + CAN interfaces in January. These will be fully backwards compatible with all older VW/Audi models, and a trade-up program will be available.
