Update from Blade

Just back from service. Engineers still scratching heads about MMI and Sunroof.
Audi however thinks that a new tranny, battery, and continued haunting of MMI and sunroof is reason enough to offer me a new A-8.
Dealer is prepping an Atlas Gray / Platinum for me to drive tomorrow and make sure is presently bug free

If I stay in a full sized auto, absolutely want A-8 over S500 4matic. However E500 4matic is option in a smaller vehicle. Not nearly the same car as Audi...
Decisions...decisions.

otoh, having choices is always a good thing. understanding why you've made your choice is another matter.

Blade, I had relatively the same decision to make in June and chose the A8L because 1)I felt cramped in the rear seat especially with my legs and 2)A Benz mehanic inferred that the car "was not ready for prime time." Well, a few of us know about #2!!

Have a look at the Benz-World Forums and you'll find a lot of unhappy E-class owners who report problems with their car. They also report incompetent dealers and other frustrations.

I have decided to stick with the A8L. Right now the sunroof and MMI continue to be haunted. Current Audi offer is NEW A8L or keep mine and we'll work something out on the Warranty / Audi advantage.

Presented car is Northern Blue with Blue interior, loaded with all the goodies. Keep that combo or change?
Keep the present car and ask for the moon in protection upgrades? Please weigh in. Thanks

Tough choice

I'd almost lean toward keeping the car with extra warranty if you plan on keeping the car for a long time. Is there a time limit on your decision? If you have a bit of time, give a shot at fixing your car. Take an extended warranty as compensation for the probelms. If the fix doesn't work, then consider taking the new A8.

Blade, see if theyll make the same offer next July!! Seriously, I would venture into a new one. There are enough of us whose cars are working well. Besides, even if you do go with your present car and an extended warranty, the aggravation of having to USE that warranty may not be worth it! My best either way!
