synthetic oil shock
Two weeks ago I converted to Mobil 1
Super Syn 5W-30. After the oil and filter change I drove the car to the grocery store for about 15 min. I did my shopping and when I started the engine the check engine light came on and the car went into "limp mode" I drove home and turned it off. After a few minutes restarted the car- nether the check engine light was on nor the "limp mode" I have been driving for about two weeks now. Everything is fine. Any ideas?

I doubt that they're related.
Also, normally I don't believe in coincidences, but I believe that's the case here.
No idea what could have caused the CEL, but consider running VAG-COM and checking for error codes.
