S8 Grille- what color is it exactly?
I have a spare A8 grille, and I am considering painting it silver or medium gray. Anyone have an opinion on how it would look on a 99 Amyethest Gray Mica Car ? (Dark Purple)
I am hesitant to paint the lower 3 grilles in the bumper, but will consider doing it if it does not look over the top.

They're definitely some kind of charcoal gray. I can't imagine sanding the intricate grilllines the way they are, so I guess my only choice will be to clean it up and give it a few layers of paint. Using my wheel spray paint is prolly not an option on plastic...

I took mine off and painted it with a black primer to give that matte finish. It turned out great.
I didn't want that blingy look with every one of those grill intersections flashing a reflection. Its nice contrast with the brightwork.

Bought this in July---on the drive home---one of the lower fog grills fell out---the OEM replacement is black so had to paint it---
Went to paintscratch.com and ordered the supplies--great source for custom--OEM matched paint suppies. fun project and it turned out great. (note in this pic---it's the druver;s sude fog grill that's missing--though hard to tell in the shadow----it's not missing anymore!)
