Braking Sound Dilemma

I replaced my rotors and brake pads in the front a couple months ago. When I'm braking around corners is the only time they squeal. I can't figure out why they would be sound-free when not turning but as soon as I turn the wheel, they start moaning.

Is the brake dust shield interferring?

Try taking the wheel off and pushing it back about 1/4" and see if that solves the problem.

My brake squeal had disappeared.....

I took the car into the stealer for routine maintenence, and told them about the typical (it seems from the forum) S8 brake squeal when reversing, so they "machined" the rear rotors to remove the "glaze" they said forms, and the noise is completely gone. Go figure!

do they squeal with the brakes on or off???

I have the one with 8 pads on the front, and I think that when you turn, one of the pads just touches the disk(Rotor)???

Only with the brakes on and only while while turning left.

GrA8ful S8--thanks! 2x in the past the dealer did nothing; now, they're machining the rear rotors!
