Control arms - post facelift models
Before I bend over and let the dealer nail me for nearly $2,000 to replace all of the front control arms on my '00 A8, is there an alternate source for the parts? Seems like most of the aftermarket stuff is for the earlier models...

unless I am wrong, the arms are the same on 99 and 00+ models aside from top front arms??
If this is true, you can buy less expensive a4/a6 kit and then all you will have left is to buy 2 front uppper arms.
I did this on my 99.

The straight lower control arm is different
The diameter of the taper fit is different on the facelift versus pre facelift cars.....A8CT learned this the hard way.

An ebay seller (audicentral)had a complete Meyle set for pre-facelift A8's for $599. They might have what you're looking for. Ph # is 888-666-2475. I've never bought anything from them- they're in Chicago.
