Dudes I need help with the ABS light. Please help translate this fault code

Cleaned up every sensor. They were pretty dirty I have to say. Cleared the codes. Drove it and the same fault code came up again. What should I do? VAG Com gave me the following message:

00285- ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Right (G45)

30-10- Open or Short to B+- Intermittent

Try to change it with the left and check the codes.

I bought a new sensor for 150. Is that a good price. Dealeer asks $205. Hopefuly this will fix it.

When VAG COM says right sensor does it mean passanger or driver side

guys I had the same code

the wire most likely is open.. clear the code and then go to that sensor and wiggle the wire if the light trips you will know that the wire has a open. next will be try to fine the open inthe wire do the ssame thing with someone else watching the abs light inthe car.. wiggle the wire in various locations till the light trip.. cut the wire where the open is in and replace that section. Solder and heat shrink the wires. Cost is only pennies. I did mine and works great. no more abs light no more errors.. save yourself money

I still don't get what is right according to Vag_COM. Is it passnger or driver side.

Right = Passenger side

Right side is the passenger side.

I had the same code, and found that the passenger side sensor wires were nearly broken through. As soon as I turned the steering wheel after startup, the ABS light came on.

As others have described, I pulled the sensor and wire, located the site of the break using an ohmmeter, and stripped and soldered the wires at the break location. I didn't have to splice in new wire, since the repair shortened the wire less than 1/2". Did the repair several months ago, and no problem since.
