Got the Sat radio going with a spring flip mount under...

the ashtray. Looks sweet and is easy to operate. As soon as I open the ash tray it slowly springs up into position. We also painted the GPS antennas pearl white. looks fugly. wish I didnt have to look at them.

The only problem is it has alternator whine. Its hooked direct into the head unit.

I am waiting for the 8' extention for the Garmin iQue 3600.

Spring flap mount

I have my XM in my ash tray area (the ash tray is removed) but could not find a suitable hinge to mount it on.....can you post a part number or source or picture?

How do I post pics? I got a digi cam...

Paul, the spring is two "leaf" style springs that work toghther like a butterfly's wings to apply upward pressure. Its totally jerry rigged.

I would prefer to wait on taking pics till its all done. I have a better mounting system for the Garmin that will be finished when we install the $52 (ouch!) 8' antenna extention.

You upload your pictures to your picture poster, then right click, properties, high light URL, copy, you put this in the message <img src=" "> paste your picture in there and you are done. Oh, if you want full size, you need to remove t. from the URL.
