I'm basically stumped
Let's see....three 44 pin chips on my ECU....I need a socket to be installed....need a desoldering station.....and I don't know which way the 44 pin chip goes in, right, left, up, down....
I did contact the guy who is selling chips on ebay that you previously posted, he said he wouldn't install it for me. He won't do other's work.
He did say that he sockets the chips he installs.
So I'm basically screwed.

The chip should have a notch or I believe 44 pin chips have one corner slightly different from the other three, i.e. cut off.
We used to have a solder sucker here, if I can find it, you could use it... if you want it let me know.

Give me the chip maker's name and the number, I may be able to get the socket for you. I can also
can get these nice electronic rework ladies at my lab to solder a professional job for you. Just let me know what you need.
