I just bought another A8, flew down to Houston, TX. UPDATE!
I had to take it slow this time. Turns out that one of the breather tubes are cracked so it 's sweating oil, however as long as I stay below 2000 RPM it's not that bad.
Cruise Control on 68 mhp and just Relax. Have gone through 2 quarts in 2000 miles, not bad.
Did not see a drop of rain, all daylight driving and NO tickets. Beautiful Drive. Awesome car!!! Highly recommended! I'll post some pics when I get back to Seattle.
PaulW....I wanted a new Audi for my other half, and the A8 is by far THE best value!
99 4.2 Aluminum Silver Cold/Electronics Package, Xenon. Black Leather, Back Seats never used, Non Smoker, ski bag, floor mats like new, 17" Wheels.91,000 miles.
Dealer maintenance on paper through 70,000 miles. Tansmission flush done. Looks and rides like 30,000 miles. It is in much better condition than I expected. Overall condition, a 9 out of 10.
When I initially saw the car in the parking lot I thought it was a mistake, it just looked too nice, The paint is sparkling. All it needs is Brake pads, breather tubes, maybe valve cover gaskets. Price......drum roll.....
Take a guess....
Anyways, I made it home in one piece, not even a scratch. Got excellent gas mileage buy the way, one fill up from Tucson, AZ. to LA. gave me 484 miles on only 17 gallons of fuel.
28.4 mpg, UNREAL.
I'll put up some pictures of the car later. 2800 + miles in three and a half day makes me feel like going to bed early tonight.
ZZZZZZZZZZ...........

Correct answer was $10,600.
Compare that to what the A8 goes for in Seattle, most "buyers" up here would have paid at least 18k-21k for the same car. Not to mention that the A8 really "should" be priced closer to 30k. I think a got myself a hell of a deal. I have not come across a deal like this since I bought the first A8, in 3 years ago.
