Have prices bottomed out?
Has the world caught on to the value of der A8?
Whilst the urS car list ponders their next cars as their 10+ year old uber cars blow up, fall apart, disintigrate, go back to the future, I thought to surely recommend some <$20k A8.
Since I had bought my '00 two years ago @$26k, I thought heck for sure they'd be <$20k now.... NOT.

so there is segment in the goods, as it were.
Look at the price difference between a 97, 98, and 00. Also, there is an imaginarly line drawn after a vehicle is four years old, dropping the value further.

Re: Not sure if the same in Europe, but in the US once a car is out of warranty value drops rapidly.
Values drop dramatically out of warrantee because of the reliability issue and huge repair costs. Check out the cost of an extended warrantee on an A8, if you can even find one. The issurance companies have the research and crunched the numbers. Now compare it to an extended warranttee on a Lexus or Acura. Need I say more.
