Tranny Done!

Just got the car back last night.

On the way home, SMOKE! A peek under the car reveals fluid dripping on the exhaust at rate of about one enlongated drip per second.

I'm already at home and they are closed. Will I have enough to drive the car back to the dealer in the morning safely?

This was after tranny fluid and filter change?

How far/how long a drive? I'd call the dealer and tell them to come get the car at their expense!!

It's not worth risking your tranny to drive it back. The leak sounds significant.

Update...

I measured the amount of loss when I woke up this morning. Just a few ounces in total after the car cooled down. So I figured it safe to drive back there -- which I did.

Of course now they have to do the whole job again -- cool down, blah blah blah. That's another rental on them for a couple days.

I'll let you know what they screwed up on.

It is good news for you.

When they changed your fluid, they can drain only like 40% of the fluid. The rest stays above the valve body and in the TC. So now you will get an extra flush.
