Yes, it is the larger of the two lower arms. I took my '00 w/92K miles to the dealer to have it checked out and both of the recalled arms were just fine. The two uppers were shot tho.

So, they said they said your lowers were fine and did not replace anything. They just gave you a quote for two uppers to replace on your dime?

I have an appointment for Friday. My dealer (Fletcher Jones, formerly Loeber) has been phenomenal over the years so lets hope for the best.

My service advisor had the technician look at the recalled arms 'unofficially' and the tech said they were solid as a rock and did not need to be replaced. Because they looked at the arms 'unofficially' the recall has not been 'performed' and I can still warranty them years down the road when they actually wear out. And I knew the upper ones were bad so I had them replaced while the car was there.

Don't recalls expire after some period of time that would prevent you from making a claim against it "years down the road"?

Just had mine checked and they were fine. Except I needed new tie rods :-(
