Key Fob / Immobilser sync a new key
Bought an A8 in the UK 97 model with one key and 3 button remote.
Went to my Audi dealer in Ireland to get a new key and three button remote in case I lost the first one. Their computer won't programme A8's (it's a rare car here).
Followed all the instructions to reprogramme the remote successfully. Unfortunately, the new key part won't deactivate the immobiliser. Any clues?

Their computer will reprogram the key to the imobilizer
They just need the secret code, that basically only the audi dealers get. They don't give it out.

thanks for the reply. Just have to find an A8 capable dealer in Ireland (not easy, as they don't like you importing a car for less than their prices). They love a rip off here.
