Already on the way up, thanks to the media hyping it up
Kills me everytime they "report" on how gas "might" go up to $4-5 a gallon. Of course every moron and his brother goes out and fills up every car, lawnmower, gas can, and plastic cup they can get their hands on, driving the price up and freaking everybody out. If they would just stop sensationalizing it, life would go on as normal, with only minor price adjustments.
That said, my wife's vehicle was on empty today, and I managed to get gas at the ONE station that had not (yet) jumped the price by 10 cents since yesterday afternoon.

here in Austin this morning are stories from People evacuating Houston. Took a guy 10 hours to go from South Houston to Tomball which is just north of Houston. And gas stations are out of gas all along the highways from Houston to Austin. 5 bucks a gallon already.
