Driver's side rear view mirror stuck
My 2000 A8 has an interesting problem, the driver's rear view mirror will only work when it rains or gets wet. After there is drying out, it fails to move when I need to adjust it. Also, there is a film beginning to accumulate on it, could it be the electrochromatic effect coming off? Any one with any ideas. I have 81 k on it and an extended warranty. Thanks

Sounds like corrosion on the terminals in the door, but who cares-- you have a warranty! Put a few more things on the repair list (come on-- its an A8-- that should not take too long!) and get them all taken care of. How's your transmission doing?
