Repair adventures
Phfew! It's never easy, and I "think" I'm edumacated a little bit thanks to this forum and pw pages.
Control arm recall = nada. Squeeks could not be duplicated, "everything was tight." okay fine.
It only squeeks after long drives.
Trans was leaking at the famous prop shaft and Accel Wty was paying for some of it but only $64/hr..? Dealer charges $137 Oh well at least I get something back and dont have to get dirty. I hate fluid leaks.
They whack for two new exhaust clamps at $58 each but I would bet that's what their book demands to insure no exhaust leaks. part no. if anyone cares is 893-253-139-B.
Leaking oil cooler.. not covered by Accel for some reason since they are suppose to cover leaking seals, but I'll deal with that with them hopefully today. I did get the parts to do it myself.. Here's what they gave me:
1, 077-117-021-Q Oil cooler $180
1, 077-198-405 Gasket set $29
1, 077-117-411-A Pipe $8
4, N-104-688-01 Bolt $2ea
2, N-904-211-01 Seal $4ea
I wonder why it calls for a new oil cooler?
According to audipages this seems to be a pretty involved and time consuming repair. Have to set aside a long day for this or maybe start on a friday nite / finish saturday.
Thanks for listnin

Okay, I'm autocrossing Saturday and painting today/Sunday!
I guess I'll find out. I'll check in on mr bentley too.
Sunday I have a boston fellow gofast nut coming in on biz, so if I can't convince him to help you paint, we'll go to either Autobahn cc or rte 66 drags
