I got a Hybrid. 255 HP Accord. It is really amazing.
Low annual miles normally means you do a lot of city driving, where a hybrid has a significant fuel economy advantage. High annual miles normally means you're doing a lot of Interstate cruising, where a hybrid is running on only it's IC motor, and the extra vehicle weight puts the car at a fuel economy disadvantage.
Without the taxpayer subsidy, hybrids are normally a money losing deal; and as a result, not a good idea for anyone ... except perhaps for cab drivers.
