The only diesel we had in Europe during this period, was teh V6 2.5 TDI of 150 HP. It was nice but that was about it. I think they launched the V8 3.3 TDI engine in 2000. A lot of power...on acceleration it is nothing close to a S8, but from 60 until anything around 140 miles an hour, it keeps really close to an S8; By experience.
