Better Gas Mileage - Audi TT/A4/S4/A6/A8 +MPG

Gentlemen,

you ever go to your local auto parts store and see something called the tornado?

its the same thing, and I seriously doubt that swirling the air in your intake is going to improve you gas mileage.

The Tornado? Never saw one but ..................

.....I doubt the devices' claims. Has anyone actually tried it? Maybe I should try it and later give an analysis of the results but sadly, for a techie, I don't know my way around car engines.

There is no scientific basis for their claims for this device. The only possible effect this devce can have is to increase the turbulence in the intake charge- this would have two results. 1) The pressure drop on your intake system would INCREASE, a bad thing (there is a reason that racers port ands polish the intakes) and 2) possibly induce incorrect MAF readings (there is a reason that there is a flow straightener in fornt of the MAF). Any added turbulence would likely be dissipated before the fuel injectors (particularily in our engines with the variable-length runners), so additional fuel mixing in the intake charge is unlikely.

Bottom line- save your money.
