Tool Kit and Lug Nut Caps

Is it me, or is my toolkit lacking anything to pull the plastic lug nut caps off the optional 18" wheels? The owners manual (2003) does not even recognize there are plastic caps with this option, and only provides a wire like tool to remove the center cap off the standard rims.

The caps are a pain to remove as they are set deep into the wheel (used long needle nose) What do you guys use?

lug nut cap removal tool ...

p/n 8d0-012-244-a ... couple of dollars from the dealer. search for p/n on aw to find a picture of it. it's a long u-shaped prong-like plastic tool.
