CD changer plug, confusion
I bought my 97 A8 about a month ago. When I was taking it for a test drive I noticed that there is no original CD changer in the trunk. Dealer had no idea where it was. I assumed that original owner removed it for whatever reason, or just kept it. Week ago I bought a stock, 8-pin CD changer (used) but when tried to hook it up realised that my plug in the trunk is completely different! It is 25 pin female plug (2 rows, one 12 other 13). Looks just like some PCI connector, printer plug looks pretty close. What can it be??? :/ What the previous owner had over there? Note that my Delta unit is stock and works normal. I also tried to look closer on cable to see if there is any disturbance (due to re-wiring of harness from stock), cable is wraped in black sticky tape and it looks nice and neat. I confused. I could try track original owner down and ask him directly, but thought I will ask you guys first. Thanks.

I don't believe that is the CD plug. The 25 pin is for the factory phone wiring. I don't know if '97
came pre-wired for the changer or not. Someone else here will know but you still might be in luck if there's another plug hidden.
