Water in vents?

With all the rain in the notheast the past few days I noticed that when I tilt the sunroof I hear a sloshing sound of liquid by both driver and passenger A pillars/vents. This only happens when it rains and I tilt the sunroof. Does it mean I have water draining into the HVAC system? I seems to go away after driving awhile though. I did remove those little drain plugs from within the wheel wells to promote better drainage from within the firewalls/fenders months ago.

Look for drains in the front door cavity

There are some if you open the front doors and look at the hinge area. That's where the roof drains too. Check that they are clear.

When the car first moves, after heavy rain, I can hear the water sloshing and gurgling down the sunroof drains. There are 4, 1 in each of the 4 main pillars.
