Thanks for the discussions on thermostats, helped me greatly. $13.00 part and 2 hours of my time. Alot better than my cheapest quote of $960.00. I did spring for the water pump too just in case and will use it when I replace the timing belt on the 97 A8. Are the 40v motors for the 00-03 models harder to change the thermostats on? I know there was talk it is a 7 hour job on those cars, which is what I was being quoted on, but after looking at our cars I figured I could to it faster, thanks to Audiworld!
