Valve body difference
The picture posted 07-29 06 of the valve body differences old and new does not display when I opened the page via the surch.
Can I get a copy?
I am in conversation with a ZF rebuilder who has brought up the differences between 2000 model year transmissions, and 1997-1999 DTE transmissions.
This source was looking through the parts books etc, but also wanted to see your reference when I mentioned it. There are some differences in the solenoid wiring harness that may be associated with VB operation and could be the aspect that resulted in the success you have had with VB replacement.
Does anyone have the ebahn wiring diagrams for the later model transmissions that Could provide a copy for comparison?
On the down side, we spoke of the possibility of the TCU just running out of accomodation for mechanical wear and even the possibility that slipping clutch packs elsewhere could command the TCC into action in a coverup response.
Also, if the TCC friction surface would wear to the point that the shift timing were effected, the compensation could be hunting.
Lots to think about.
Some action required.

The photos show everything! Great!
Now help me understand. You put the Valve Body from a 2002 m.y. ??? series transmission. into a <1998 m.y, DTE series transmission along with the new model wiring loom? And everything just bolted right in?
Could you see any differences in the harness? That question has been posed to me.

Calvin
