Uh oh, hope I'm not next with a tranny problem....
Went to start my wifes car this morning (it was 8 degrees), put it in reverse no problem, into drive - nothing. I revved it a little and it sort of banged into gear and I moved it.
I also heard sort of a rattling sound but it was so cold the PS pump was whining so I'm not sure if that was related.
Seems like the facelift cars have lost reverse more than the forward gears. Do you guys agree? I changed the filter about 2k miles ago and topped off the fluid. I'll check the level tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it's going to be ok.
No codes or PRND lights. Any thoughts aside from fluid level?

In very cold weather I think it's smart to let the car idle for a minute or so first
Not for the engine to warm up but for the tranny to warm up.
My transmission is very slow to act from forward to reverse in this weather also. I am very easy on the gas when changing direction and during the first few minutes of driving.

ok, maybe I'm alright then. I was moving her car so I could get mine out so I was in a little
bit of a rush. I'll try it again today. Definitely cold related for sure. Maybe I'll keep the 140k trans in the garage during this cold snap!

I warmed it up this morning and it seems perfect. I parked my car outside tonight, curious to see
if it responds the same tomorrow.
Maybe I never had that combination of extreme cold and trying to move the car quickly before?
