starting problem
Thanks guys for your help with the starting problems on my '97 A8 Quattro: a little gas line antifreeze seem to have done the trick. It wasn't the battery.
Another problem has surfaced, and this one seems more bizarre and DANGEROUS. It has happened only in this cold snap we're getting now in Toronto. After a cold start and when the coolant reaches operating temperature, the car suddenly goes into a spasm where the idle speed leaps to 1400 to 1600 rpm and stays there, no matter what. It also stalls occassionally when stopped at a light. On two ocassions when it has stalled, the sunroof opens on its own!! This is crazy! Any help would be very welcome!
