Transmission adaption via Vag-Com "warm boot?"
But while I was hooked in with the VAG-COM, I took a look at adaptation possibilities with the transmissoin (02)
There appears to be only a single active adaption code 000and that resets to factory defaults. At least that is what the VAG-COM disply indicates.
Figuring noting to loose, I activated the adaptation. Nothing fentured, nothing gained.
When looking for information regarding transmission adaptation in the ebahn service literature, there is no mention of this adaptation resetting discoverd in the topics displayed via the search function.
Would this procedure be akin to a "warm boot" as opposed to a "cold boot" that is achieved by disconnecting the battery power for 15 minutes,
perhaps some have come across a reference to this elsewhere.

Resetting adaption values of gearbox control unit (basic setting)
Notes:
? The adaption values of the gearbox control unit should be reset after performing repair work on the valve chest (e.g. after renewing solenoids), renewing the valve chest, the torque converter or the gearbox.
Thus the adaption values for the standard operating mode of the gearbox control unit will be learned more quickly when restarting.
? The adaption values of the gearbox control unit will be reset if:
? The multi-pin connection is disconnected from the gearbox control unit for at least 15 minutes=>Page 01-23
? The battery is disconnected for at least 15 minutes
