Ok, so I don't have a programable key for my car so if I'm getting groceries out of the rear of the car I'll open the drivers side back door, put the key in the drivers door and turn to the right to lock the car and set the alarm... but with the rear door open, the alarm does not set until the door is closed (this helps when my hands are full so I can just "hip" the rear door closed, which then "sets" the alarm...). So here's my issue... this technique only works if the drivers rear door is open... if the passenger rear door is open while I try this technique, the alarm starts going off after a few seconds... any idas or suggestions as to why? this is a weird one...

You can verify this by opening a rear door with the car running....passenger door won't show open on the dash because the switch is gone.
